Kro continues to get a lot of attention as of late. Overall I still feel like it is just a Helm competitor. I think it absolutely has it's place but certainly has some time before it will be ready for prime time.

Overall it seems to provide a way to greatly simplify all of the items for someone who maybe isn't as familiar with all of the different Kubernetes resources that exist. I absolutely love the idea of simplifying a lot of this to help make initial adoption easier for people. I think this is am amazing tool for that.

The biggest thing I don't see in it right now is that there doesn't look to be a way to generate the full YAML files. I could be missing something, but this is often something I use in Helm and would help to reduce the likelihood of general lock in.

AI and ChatGPT

So everyone has heard about all of the AI stuff and how everyone is concerned that it is going to take over. Ultimately at this point. It is what it is. I think there is absolutely a place for it and finding how it can help support your workloads is the ideal situation. It can allow you more time to work on actual parts of your job and not spend as much time on mundane tasks. Overall learning to work with it rather than against it will be a major piece going forward.
